Rentech is asking $8.5 million for the 478 acres in Adams County where it once planned to build an alternative fuels plant to convert coal into liquid.

Natchez real estate broker Glenn Green, one of the three listed on the property, tells the Natchez Democrat there has been some offers on the property but declined to discuss them.

Green says the property is also listed with brokers in New Orleans and in Colorado
