The city of Horn Lake board of alderman made a bold move Tuesday night, hiring a new economic development consultant.
In a 5 to 2 vote Alderman voted to hire former Southaven Mayor Greg Davis.
“We need him to help bring in economic development into our community. He has a proven and successful track record of developing communities,” said alderman Charlie Roberts.
Roberts made the motion to hire Davis.
Davis will start with the city as a volunteer consultant but Roberts believes it will turn into a permanent paid position.
