Five days after announcing his intentions to run for the open seat being vacated by Senator Thad Cochran, McDaniel’s campaign has named 82 county chairs and has over a thousand volunteers.

Less than a week after announcing that he will run for the open seat being vacated by Senator Thad Cochran, Chris McDaniel announced today that his campaign has named a chairman for all 82 Mississippi counties. McDaniel also announced that well over one-thousand volunteers have signed up to help the campaign from every part of the state.

“I can’t say enough how much it means to me that so many Mississippians have come out to help us again,” McDaniel said. “It was a great reminder of why we’re doing this. The people of Mississippi are fed up with the establishment thinking that they know what’s best for us. Washington has forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.”

McDaniel’s campaign mobilized a conservative grassroots effort four years ago that beat Cochran in round one of the GOP primary. McDaniel said that with so much support so soon from the grassroots, it’s as if we never stopped. We are up and running again.

“We’re ready to go here on the ground,” McDaniel’s Harrison County Chairman, Dan Carr said. “We’ve got an army of true conservatives that have had enough of the establishment’s games. I get calls every day asking ‘What can I do?’ The response has been so amazing. I am convinced that we will finally send a true conservative to Washington to represent Mississippi.”

Most of Senator McDaniel’s team of volunteers are conservative grassroots organizers who helped President Donald Trump win the state of Mississippi in the 2016 presidential election.
