State Rep. Dana Criswell officially announced today he would seek re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives.

“Serving the people of Olive Branch in the Mississippi legislature has been an experience like no other in my life,” Criswell said in a statement. “Negotiating the halls of government and learning how decisions are made has been both challenging and enlightening. I am proud to say that I have cast each vote according to the principles and values the people of Olive Branch elected me to maintain. I have never compromised a vote for personal gain of money, position, or power.”

Criswell also announced the formation of his campaign committee. Criswell says the 11-member committee are community leaders and residents who “hold me accountable for my decisions and votes.”

The names of those on the committee include Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson, both the current and former mayors of Olive Branch, and two currently serving Olive Branch Aldermen.
