Any good, service, or industry that is removed from market control and put into the hands of government thereby becomes subjected to the grueling and ghastly machinations of the political process in all its subterfuge, duplicity, and vast waste.

Even if you don’t like every result of market control, it’s hard to imagine that anyone can defend what necessarily replaces it once you surrender any market to control by government.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Stories are already circulating that any number of weak-willed Republicans are looking for some way to slow down the repeal ObamaCare train and call the whole thing off until everybody agrees on the perfect replacement solution. That day, of course, will never come. Leadership is about doing the […]

Much ink has been spilled and many pixels have been posted over the question of what Republicans should replace ObamaCare with, if they keep their oft-repeated promises to repeal it. The simplest and most direct is – nothing. Don’t replace ObamaCare with anything. Let’s get government out of health care and allow the people and […]

Chances are you’ve already read the latest headline this morning about the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Turns out it’s not all that affordable. Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama’s health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That’s […]

BY: Jason Hart Even when Republican governors have asked to customize Medicaid as a precondition for expanding it, the Obama administration has shown little willingness to negotiate. Ohio’s HOP proposal is a watered-down version of conservative lawmakers’ attempts to emulate the Healthy Indiana Plan, an HSA program gutted by Governor Mike Pence in return for […]
