Appointed US Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith was scheduled to speak at the event on Saturday, October 27 and to lay a wreath at the wall in honor of those who perished. As if this weren’t bad enough, Hyde-Smith didn’t even bother to notify the event’s organizers that she would not be attending.
